About Us
Originally from London we moved to Fosse House Farm in January 1999 and opened as Bed and Breakfast accommodation in July 2000.
It is understood that there has been a house on this site for over 200 years. The present house has only been here since 1967 when the previous owner, who was born in the original farmhouse, had the old building knocked down and the present one built in its place.
Following some extensive alterations further rooms have been added to provide 4 accommodation rooms and were originally accredited 3 stars from the Tourist Board. This year we have moved away from formal accreditation, after gaining 4 star grading for the past 3 years, Fosse House still maintains the same standards within the rooms and service provided.
Within the 7 acres here and a further 6 acres across the way we have built up the smallholding which currently houses Berkshire pigs; a small flock of sheep; Golden Guernsey goats; geese; chickens both for eggs and meat; a rabbit; a friendly collie, a guard dog, and the latest edition a little Jack Russell.
We hope to make your stay with us a pleasant one, and you are welcome to look around the smallholding on request.
